The Museum of Dungeons & Dragons’s purpose is to celebrate the rich history, shared adventures of storytelling and imagination, and cultural impact of this iconic tabletop role-playing game through immersive exhibits, interactive experiences, and historical archives. We aim to connect generations of players and honor the legacy of the game’s creators, Dave Arneson and Gary Gygax, and the diverse voices that have contributed to all past and future editions, while ensuring upcoming generations remember and appreciate D&D.

We envision the Museum as a global destination where fans, scholars, and newcomers alike can explore the artistry, cultural history, and community of Dungeons & Dragons. By combining rare artifacts, innovative technology, and engaging educational programs, the Museum will spark creativity, encourage lifelong learning, and safeguard the game’s legacy for the next fifty years and beyond

Our founding collection spans tens of thousands of items from the original 1970s booklets to the 2024 rules—published products, promotional pieces, licensed merchandise, miniatures, and much more. (Photo shows a small slice; full catalog available for institutional partners upon request.)

We are incorporated as a nonprofit and are pursuing 501(c)(3) status.
